The GoodBar

A curated list of spirits based on their taste not price has been developed. Likewise, the cocktails using Goodradigbee Spirits all offer a unique twist to the standard fare. Wines were selected for their ease of drinking, and to cover all bases and tastes. The beer options include brews from the  local brewers on tap, along with the usual favourites in a bottle.

Goodradigbee Australian Hardwood Malt Spirits

Tasmanian Blackwood

Aged in cubes made from Blackwood and sourced from a swampy forest in Northwest Tasmania, it has a mature, malty nose with hints of citrus. On the palette it is a chocolate and vanilla bomb, very complex, with a peppery finish.

Ironbark Red

As the name suggests, Ironbark Red is a rich and surprisingly complex spirit. It has a sweet honey and charred citrus flavour upfront, then moves to dark chocolate and golden syrup swiftly followed by subtle notes of seasoned wood and a nutty maltiness. The finish is powerful and succinct.

Ironbark Yellow

Ironbark Yellow’s rich golden colour comes from the outer layers of the tree and has an extraordinary softness that, combined with its sweetness, promotes easy drinking. It’s highly floral and whilst it’s short on the palette, the spirit really opens up with a dash of H2O or ice.

Jarrah

Native to Western Australia, the Jarrah tree – the hardest of hardwoods – can live for a thousand years. Our Jarrah Malt Spirit has a young nose but is genuinely surprising on the palette. It converts a generous sweetness with honeysuckle, stone fruit, and apple with hints of spice.

Orchard Road Dry Gin

Orchard Road Dry Gin 41% ABV. Delicious traditional London-style dry gin with an Aussie botanical twist. It is a juniper and coriander forward gin, but the spark of those is complemented by Grains of Paradise and native bilberries, among other botanicals, to create a classic G&T Style Gin.

Sweetwater Gin

We’ve infused our Sweetwater Gin with the heartwood of the native ironbark tree. Our recipe also uses native citrus and botanicals, supplied by indigenous farmers. With just one sip, you’ll experience anise myrtle, highland pepper berries, juniper, apples and the distinct taste of Australia.

Grey Gum Vodka

Grey Gum Vodka is a double distilled vodka, aged in a grey ironbark cube for approximately two months or so (dependent on temperature) and then re-distilled to remove the colour. What isn’t removed is a wonderful vanilla malt sweetness to temper the vodka bite.
